Music and Video Files

While in your free trial period, Carbonite will not automatically add your audio and video files to your backupA set of copies of your files on our servers.. Once you purchase a subscription, your music files will then be added to your backup, as long as the folder was originally selected for back up. Music and video files are not automatically included in your trial, because these files tend to be larger and can extend the time it takes to complete your initial back up, resulting in not being able to test the product effectively. With a Carbonite Personal Prime* subscription, your video files will also be included in your backup automatically, as long as the folder was originally selected for back up.

* At this time there is currently no Carbonite Personal Prime subscription available for the Mac version of Carbonite.

Adding a music or video file to your backup is as simple as right-clicking and selecting Carbonite; Back this up. (On a Mac you can use the Carbonite Preferences pane / Carbonite InfoCenter to add files.)
